Cyclonic Particles is a Squad Member Upgrade in Mass Effect 2. Cyclonic Particles only serves to enhance Legion's shields providing +25% Shields to shields with geth technology. Squad Member Upgrade can be obtained in stores and by scanning items on Missions. Upgrades tied to Companions are also unlocked after completing their loyalty mission, regardless of whether their loyalty is gained.
Geth and Alliance technology diverged when geth migrated beyond the Veil. While geth technology is wholly incompatible with Alliance technology, this upgrade improves on geth shielding by integrating recent Alliance advancements in redundant field generators.
