Illusive Man is an NPC in Mass Effect 2. Illusive Man is a Human and the  Leader of Cerberus. NPCs in Mass Effect 2 can interact with Commander Shepard and they may provide information, Weapons or Items. NPCs also may give Missions in exchange for rewards. Choosing different interactions with NPCs may result in different courses of Mass Effect 2 story.

Illusive Man Information

The Illusive Man is the Leader of Cerberus, and he has a wide network of contacts. He claims his purpose is to secure human dominance in the galaxy but doubt's of him, replying "Human dominance? or just Cerberus'?". After the destruction of the SSV Normandy, Illusive Man managed to obtain Shepard's corpse and made a huge investment on creating Project Lazarus, headed by Miranda Lawson to resurrect Shepard.
