Mechanic is a Specialization Class Passive Power in Mass Effect 2. The Mechanic is only available to the Engineer Class. Specialized class Powers are unlocked when the Passive Power class reaches Rank 4. Then players can choose between two final evolutions. Once you have chosen an evolution, you can not change it back.
Mechanic Description
Improves even more your Powers Cooldown, and they last longer. Besides, you receive an extra bonus for your Paragon-Renegade score.

At Rank 4 of Tech Mastery you can unlock the Mechanic Bonuses that grants:
- Health: +20.00%
- Power Recharge Time: -20.00%
- Paragon/Renegade: +100.00%
- Power Duration: +15.00%
- Research Project Cost: -25.00%
