N7: Hahne-Kedar Facility is an Assignment in Mass Effect 2. N7: Hahne-Kedar Facility is about a facility that is the source of a VI virus that has corrupted mechs. Assignments are secondary quests in Mass Effect 2, that are not mandatory to progress the game's story, but provide context and flavor by meeting interesting NPCs of all kind of Races, granting additional experience, and letting the player visit extraordinary and unique planets.
N7: Hahne-Kedar Facility Walkthrough
Getting Ready
This is a Mech-heavy Assignment so it is indispensable to bring someone that can use Overload or Disruptor Ammo. Since you will be fighting at close range, Weapons like Shotguns can also be game changers.
Walkthrough
As soon as you land, get into cover, two FENRIS Mechs and two LOKI Mechs will come out of the facility door. You shouldn't have much of a problem in eliminating them. Head inside the building once they are turned into garbage.
Once inside the facility, head into the room in front of you. You will find a med-kit and a wall safe, loot them before continuing. You will see a LOKI Mech in the hallway, but don't shoot it. Get ready before things are going to get ugly, you are going to face what seems to be an endless amount of LOKI Mechs.
When you enter, examine the Gamble's pad, then move up to cover and face the last two FENRIS Mechs on this Assignment. Be aware of the LOKI Mechs down in the maze, or they may flank you. Once you are done with them, you can grab some Element Zero on the wall to the right.
Now take a left turn, there are several LOKI Mechs for you to face, but at the end of the path you will be rewarded with a crate containing Power Cells. Backtrack to the ramp where you came down to the maze, and take the other path. Put your squadmates into cover and shoot the LOKI Mechs in the wave, and move up to the next cover position.
Once you past the mech spawn point, it will be deactivated and the Mechs will start spawning from further back. You will have to repeat this process through the whole factory until you reach a small clear area, in which you will have to hold off ten LOKI Mechs until they stop coming.
When you are clear of mechs, before moving up the ramps, you can find more Element Zero at the end of a side passage near the ramp. You can also find some Power Cells near the entrance to the area, though keep in mind that LOKI Mechs can spawn in that area.
Backtrack to the ramps and go up through the door, you will find some more ramps and on the lower level another crate containing Element Zero, grab it. Head up the ramps and you will arrive in the factory's control center. Hack the terminal in order to shut down the Mechs' production line. A cutscene starts in which you see the squad running out as the LOKI Mechs' self-destruct procedures are activated.
How to unlock N7: Hahne-Kedar Facility
- You have to complete N7: Abandoned Research Station in order to obtain this Assignment. You receive a message from EDI, stating that the facility may be the possible source of the VI virus.
