N7: MSV Strontium Mule Walkthrough
Getting Ready
You will be dealing with many shielded Enemies during this Assignment, so bring Companions that can deal with them better. Tali can be a good choice since her Energy Drain can be particularly useful.
Walkthrough
The entire ship has been taken over by Blue Suns, led by Captain Vorhess and Sergeant Boortis. You and the squad enter through an emergency hatch. Before moving or entering the first room, it is recommended to prepare your ammo Powers because, once you do you will be deep in the first fight of the Assignment.
Enter the next room and get into cover immediately. You will face a large wave of Blue Suns, including Blue Suns Troopers, several Blue Suns Heavies and a Blue Suns Legionnaire. You will find a few explosive containers near to where the Blue Suns come out from. Use them to your advantage. Once you defeat them all, you can take a datapad to the left of the door, and then proceed through it.
Climb a flight of stairs to find a console indicating the airlocks have been sealed, so up is the only way now. Head up to the next landing and turn around, on either side of the upper level you will find some crates, get your squad behind them because more Blue Suns are awaiting your arrival.
Once they are gone, you can find another console behind you that will unlock the doors leading away from this central room. You can also find a datapad in here.
Going through the central door will lead you to the drive core. You will find the Senior Engineer and a couple of Blue Suns Troopers. Enter the room and take the little cover available. The Blue Suns have height advantage, so avoid the railings and the ramps.
When you are done fighting, you can find Power Cells up on the platform on the right and another datapad where the Senior Engineer spawned. You can access a console that tells you the FTL drive is inoperable.
Of the other two doors, the on on the right of the hub leads to the bridge and the medical station from where you can obtain some medi-gel. The one on the left leads to the bridge if you turn left again. On the right there is a maintenance room that contains nothing, only a console that notes the FTL drive was damaged and parts were salvaged to repair it.
Now head up the stairs from the left or right when you reach the top, another fight is incoming. You will find two Blue Suns Troopers. Take them out and head to the back of the ship and you will find a locked door on your left, but the other one won't be locked, so open it. This is the mess hall, take down the two Blue Suns Troopers and return to the bridge.
When you get to the door of the bridge, you will find it locked, so head to the right to access a console in order to unlock it. You will find the communications relay on your left, but it is inoperative at the time. Once you bypass your way into the bridge, be ready for more combat.
At the bridge, there will be many Blue Suns Troopers and Captain Vorhess and his Command Bodyguard. You don't need to actually enter the bridge to fight them, you can just stand outside the door and take them out from there. Once you defeat them all, enter the room if you haven't already. After you do that, you will be ambushed by FENRIS Mechs, there will be two waves of two mechs.
Head to the command console and decrypt the command codes for the cargo container by reading the ship's main log. You can find another datapad here. Head out into the corridor to face Sergeant Boortis. He is accompanied by two Blue Suns Troopers and two Blue Suns Heavies. He and the Troopers prefer to stay at the other end of the hallway leading to the bridge while shooting you from there. Deal with them first, and then you will only have to deal with the remaining Heavies located on the far side of the upper level. The Heavies are quite cautious and only emerge to shoot, if you can use Combat Drone, is a very good tool to distract them.
Once they are all down, EDI will come over the comm stating that all the Blue Suns have been eliminated and that the cargo is most likely on the ship's upper deck, behind the locked door you previously found. You will find a datapad, a hackable container with Lattice Shunting, x2000 Iridium, and the cargo you came for. Once you have everything, end the Assignment.
