Omega: The Patriarch is an Assignment in Mass Effect 2. Omega: The Patriarch is about moving the Patriarch, Aria T'Loak's old adviser, someplace safe. Assignments are secondary quests in Mass Effect 2, that are not mandatory to progress the game's story, but provide context and flavor by meeting interesting NPCs of all kind of Races, granting additional experience, and letting the player visit extraordinary and unique planets.
Omega: The Patriarch Walkthrough
You learn from Grizz that the Blood Pack are trying to kill the Patriarch for a reason not yet specified. Aria T'Loak wants the Patriarch to be moved to a safe location to prevent this from happening. If you ask about why Aria is demanding this from you, Grizz reveals that Aria protecting the Patriarch by herself or her forces will look like a weakness, however your involvement can't mas Aria's true intentions. Once you accept the Assignment, you must speak to the Patriarch to resolve the matter. He can be found downstairs, in a small room just off the lower level of Afterlife.
When you start talking to him, you learn about how he lost control of Omega. Once you tell him of the upcoming assault, you can choose between three options:
- You can convince the Krogan to let your squad fight for him, this earns you Paragon Points. If you do this, you will be approached by two Krogan mercenaries. You can talk to them until they attack, or choose to attack them at any point in the conversation.
- You can convince him to charge into a glorious battle, by calling him a trophy and pushing him. This will cause the Krogan to die, and will earn you Renegade Points.
- You can convince him to go hide until the heat goes away. Although he will protest at first, he will end up agreeing. No morality points will be earned by doing this, but this is exactly what Aria T'Loak wanted you to do.
If you already completed Omega: Archangel: Datapad Recovered, after completing this Assignment you will receive N7: Eclipse Smuggling Depot.
How to unlock Omega: The Patriarch
- Speak with Grizz on the upper level of Afterlife. You need to have completed either Dossier: Archangel or Dossier: The Professor.
