Omega: The Professor: Missing Assistant is an Assignment in Mass Effect 2. Omega: The Professor: Missing Assistant is about locating Daniel, Mordin Solus' assistant, who has gone missing in Vorcha territory. Assignments are secondary quests in Mass Effect 2, that are not mandatory to progress the game's story, but provide context and flavor by meeting interesting NPCs of all kind of Races, granting additional experience, and letting the player visit extraordinary and unique planets.

 

Omega: The Professor: Missing Assistant Walkthrough

You can find Daniel in the furthest room to the west. He is being held up by a group of Batarians. How the event unfolds depends solely on Commander Shepard.

  • If you use Charm or Intimidate the Batarians will be convinced that Daniel is actually trying to cure the plague, and you reach a peaceful solution.
  • You can opt to kill the Batarians after they let Daniel go. 
  • You can signal one of your teammates to shoot the leader of the Batarians in the head, this however leads to the death of Daniel too.

If you don't save Daniel you don't get experience points.
