Thermal Sink is a Weapon Upgrade in Mass Effect 2. Thermal Sink allows the Shotguns, Heavy Shotguns and Assault Shotguns double their rounds. This bonus affects the entire squad. When a Weapon Upgrade is obtained, it's automatically integrated into the appropriate Weapon. Obtain Weapon Upgrades in stores and by scanning items on Missions.

 

More efficient heat-sink materials improve the absorption and dissipation of heat. Allows for smaller, easier-to-carry heat sinks.
