Tuchanka: Killing Pyjaks is an Assignment in Mass Effect 2. Tuchanka: Killing Pyjaks is Pyjak are getting into food stores in Tuchanka. Assignments are secondary quests in Mass Effect 2, that are not mandatory to progress the game's story, but provide context and flavor by meeting interesting NPCs of all kind of Races, granting additional experience, and letting the player visit extraordinary and unique planets.
Tuchanka: Killing Pyjaks Walkthrough
You have to shoot all the pyjaks in each wave using the Defense Gun Controls next to the Chief Scout on Urdnot Camp. You have to kill the pyjaks without running out of ammo. You can see how much you have left in the bottom right-hand corner of the HUD.
There are two guns, one on each side of the range. The pyjaks run through the field of old tires towards you. If a pyjak reaches the bottom of the screen, it will steal some of the food stores, represented by a red bar beneath the ammunition display.
There is a slight delay between pressing the fire button and the rocket being fired, which also takes time to reach the ground. The rocket will hit wherever the targeting reticule was when the rocket left the defense guns, which is not necessarily where it was when the fire button was pressed if the reticule is in motion. Each shot has a moderate blast radius, making targeting somewhat forgiving while also making it possible to kill two pyjaks at once. Take note however that no more than two appear on the field at any given time.
There is a very small chance the weapon will fail to fire, forcing you to take aim and fire again.
There are three waves of Pyaks in total, once you defeat them all, a message on-screen will inform you that the Assignment has been completed. Return to Ratch. You can play the mini-game as many times as you like once you completed the Assignment, although there won't be any more rewards for doing so.
