All Mass Effect 2 Endings

During the last past of the "Suicide Mission" at the endgame, after destroying the injection tubes that gave support to the Human Reaper, the Human Reaper falls down. Shepard suddenly gets everyone ready, asking Joker to get to the Normandy and prep the engines, saying they are about to overload the place and make it explode. Suddenly the Illusive Man interrupts them in a call, he will try to stop Shepard, telling them that the base has valuable technology that could be used against the Reapers, and saying it would be unwise, or even a betrayal to destroy that base with all that potencial power in it. The Illusive Man suggests that a timed radiation pulse would kill the remaining Reapers but it would leave the machinery and technology intact.

Paragon Ending

Conditions

  • Shepard decides to destroy the Collectors' base.

Shepard says it's not worth it, and still decides to destroy the base. The Illusive Man will even try to convince Shepard's companions to stop them. The Human Reaper that was made to believe to be dead, will suddenly attack the squad. After defeating the Human Reaper, the squad will run away to the Normandy where Joker is waiting for them, shooting and covering them while they run. The squad will jump into the ship and flee. Then Shepard speaks again with the Illusive Man. The Illusive Man is mad and tells Shepard that now they'll have to face the Reapers without the base's technology that would have helped humanity (The star behind the Illusive man is blue), to what Shepard doubts of the Illusive Man's intentions, asking him retorically if he cares about human dominance or just Cerberus dominance, and the Illusive Man says that Cerberus is humanity, then Shepard asks Joker to lose the channel before the conversation goes any further.

After the last conversation between Shepard and the Illusive Man, if any crew member died during the Suicide Mission, a cutscene will show Shepard will be paying respect at passed away member casket. If many members died, there will be a casket for each dead crew member. Then Shepard will start walking and to the side, the surviving members will be all busy repairing the ship around, but they all will look up to Shepard, some of them nodding at Shepard and Shepard nodding back, like a respectful greeting gesture. Then Joker will approach Shepard and give them a datapad displaying schematics of a Reaper.

Renegade Ending

Conditions

  • Shepard decides not to destroy the Collectors' Base.

Shepard discusses that the mission was to destroy the base, to what the Illusive Man replies not to be so quick to discard the facility, and asks Shepard to reconsider the potencial of the Collectors' base. Shepard is convinced saying that if this station can help stop the Reapers, they'll have to use it, then the Illusive Man replies that they are making the right choice. The Human Reaper that was believed to be dead, will suddenly attack the squad. After defeating the Human Reaper, the squad will run away to the Normandy where Joker is waiting for them, shooting and covering them while they run. The squad will jump into the ship and flee. Then Shepard speaks again with the Illusive Man. The Illusive Man compliments and thanks Shepard for what they've done (The star behind the Illusive Man is red). After that conversation, the Illusive Man toggles the Collectors' Base hologram and contemplates it with a noticeable grin on his face.

After the last conversation between Shepard and the Illusive Man, if any crew member died during the Suicide Mission, a cutscene will show Shepard will be paying respect at passed away member casket. If many members died, there will be a casket for each dead crew member. Then Shepard will start walking and to the side, the surviving members will be all busy repairing the ship around, but they all will look up to Shepard, some of them nodding at Shepard and Shepard nodding back. Then Joker will approach Shepard and give them a datapad displaying schematics of a Reaper.

Shepard dies

Conditions

Whether destroying or sparing the Collectors' Base, if Shepard's decisions resulted on every companion ending up dead even during the last battle against the Human Reaper. Then Shepard will be running away to the Normandy alone. Joker will try to cover Shepard while Shepard runs, but on Shepard's last jump to the Normandy, Joker will have to stop the cover to help Shepard jump in, but the heat of fire is too much and Shepard asks Joker to go without them letting go off the ship, Shepard falls and dies. Then Joker will be the one to speak with the Illusive Man, and the Illusive Man will still compliment or disapprove Shepard's choice to destroy or not the Collectors' Base, to what Joker will respond always defending Shepard's intentions.

After the last conversation between Joker and the Illusive Man, the cutscene will show Joker paying respect at Shepard's casket that will have an N7 symbol on it and all the other caskets will be around too. Then the Normandy will be shown flying through space, and a final cutscene of Joker staring at the datapad displaying schematics of a Reaper.

Note: The Save File won't import to Mass Effect 3 with this ending.
