Citadel: Found Forged ID (Or Citadel: False Positives) is an Assignment in Mass Effect 2. Citadel: Found Forged ID is about a forged ID found that may prove useful to someone. Assignments are secondary quests in Mass Effect 2, that are not mandatory to progress the game's story, but provide context and flavor by meeting interesting NPCs of all kind of Races, granting additional experience, and letting the player visit extraordinary and unique planets.
Citadel: Found Forged ID Walkthrough
You will find two Asari talking in the transit corridor between the middle and west sections of the map. She complains because she's being flagged as a potential for Geth infiltration, there isn't a reason for this apparently.
You can now have a few ways to solve this:
- If you already have the fake IDs, you can just simply give them to her and the Assignment will be completed, doing so earns you +5 Renegade Points.
- If you don't have them, or don't feel like giving them. You will have to go to talk to C-Sec Customs, located left of the entrance to the Citadel. If your Paragon/Renegade score is high enough, or if you regained your Spectre status, you can persuade the customs officer to let the Asari leave. The Assignment will change its name into Citadel: False Positives, and it will be completed. You earn +5 Renegade Points and +5 Paragon Points. Telling the Asari the good news grants you +2 Paragon Points. You can still decide to giver her the False ID's to earn +5 Renegade points.
- If you imported a character from the original game in which you chose to abandon the Council, the Asari's attitude towards you and humanity in general will be much more hostile. Respond with rudeness will cause the Mission to be completed, but no rewards are given to you. However, apologizing and asking if they are in a hurry, will allow you to complete the Assignment normally, by either talking to C-Sec or giving them the false IDs.
How to unlock Citadel: Found Forged ID
- You can acquire this Assignment while completing Garrus: Eye for an Eye. You can find a forged ID right before the two mechs, if you pick it up, you automatically start the Assignment.
Alternatively, you can find two Asari sitting on the couch under Level 27 in the Citadel. For the Asari to be present, you have to complete Thane: Sins of the Father previously. If done like this, the Assignment is called Citadel: False Positives.
